I think everyone should try their own Face the Foliage project in the spirit of changing leaves and all things fall. What a good opportunity to take a mindful walk and make art.
This sweet potato round-up is seriously good. I’m between these tempting noodles with cashew sauce (?!) and the sweet potato peanut stew. Yeah. Sweet potato peanut stew.
My next read, if only to watch the movie after.
I can’t stop watching these mesmerizing animations of Nigerian hairstyles. What a cool art project.

Beautiful dark, leafy kale salad with sourdough and this bright flavored soup.
Flowers from my boyfriend with tacos to match. Inspired by this recipe, we added sweet potatoes to our vegetarian entrée, and now we’ll never go back.
I am halfway through my trip to San Francisco and I thought this would be a good time to share a few of the bright colors from pride. The pride parade and village were vibrant and upbeat. A cold, foggy morning cleared up into a warm and sunny afternoon just as Dykes on Bikes opened the parade. Of course, the reason pride is so bright is because of all of the individuals who choose to rep the rainbow. Pictured below are just a few stand-out accessories from the day.

A friend who isn’t attending SF Pride was very sweet and made all of us pride friendship bracelets! If you don’t have a friend who can magic up knotted jewelry in ten minutes, then you should definitely check out Tattly’s arm bands!
One member of our group will be rocking these Chucks with a secret kick.
Taylor Bennett, a Chicago local, partnered with Urban Outfitters for a old school meets millennial pride collection. Oh yeah, Taylor’s brother? Chance the Rapper.
Are you hosting a party after, or BYO to the festivities? Use these glam rainbow cups! Add some Crazy Straws, because you can.
